Paddleboarding for the Home Ed Community
Course Information
This weekly session really focuses on development of the skills needed to control your craft; with a focus on being ON the water with some IN, depending on weather forecast. This is a great opportunity to pick up a sport that has so many benefits; increased blood flow, flexibility. skill enhancement. motor control, nature information and physics etc... whilst getting you out and active in nature. If your participant- or the one you are looking after- has previously required one-to-one support, it would be expected that this is discussed before the session and, for those pastoral reasons, an adult potentially attend the session for their welfare.

In such circumstances the council reserves the right to close the lake to watersports activities. The lake water can also have varying bacterial levels which cannot be controlled and so people who take part in watersports at the lake should, therefore, be aware for the inherent risks associated with inland open water, such as Leptospirosis (Weil's' Disease) and the Council or Southwater Watersports Ltd cannot be held liable for any ill health resulting from such activity. - All participant's and their parent/ carer need to be completely aware that there can be a risk to injury doing any watersports.
