Events Restricting Lake Use
Throughout the year there are a few big events at Southwater Countrypark, these mean the car park, the park and area around the cafe, large grass area and lake can be very busy. These events affect lake use and hire from Southwater Watersports. Please see the dates and restrictions below.

+++ 6th September 2025 - Triathlon Event Set Up - MAIN CAR PARK CLOSED ALL DAY - ACCESS TO LAKE STILL AVAILABLE TO PERMIT HOLDERS - WATERSPORTS & HIRE CLOSED ALL DAY
+++ 7th September 2025 - Triathlon Event - 6am-1pm - NO LAKE ACCESS UNTIL AFTER 1PM, MAIN CAR PARK CLOSED - WATERSPORTS CENTRE & HIRE CLOSED ALL DAY
